It has been another awesome week of student success.
Veterans Day Assembly:
This past Wednesday our Student Council organized a wonderful Veterans Day Assembly. It featured the Pledge of Allegiance led by our life skills class, musical selections by our choir and jazz band, presentation of colors by our own Eagle Scouts and a Skype video conference with a soldier in Iraq. Phil Barber, Dragon Council member, was our guest speaker who spoke to our students about the importance of serving our country in order to preserve the rights and freedoms we enjoy. He recognized many local veterans and former Southlake students that have and are serving in the Armed Forces. Congratulations to our STUCO and Mrs. Beneditti for organizing a great tribute. I was very proud of our Carroll Senior High students for being so respectful and appreciative of our guest.
