Our Boys Golf Team are Regional Golf Champions and will be advancing to state. Our Girls Golf Team is competing in the Regional Golf Tournament in Lubbock this week and we will know their results by the end of the week. Congratulations once again for a job well done to Coach Glenn and Coach Alexander.
Congratulations to our Tennis Team and Coach Smith that qualified several players to Regional tennis also in Lubbock.
Our Dragon Band and Directors Behrends, Johnston, Lown and Bach won Sweepstakes at the District UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest last week in Flowermound as they received ratings of all 1's on stage and in sightreading.
Our Choir and Cantores Choir under the direction of Chris Hutchison and Patty Dees also won sweepstakes and division 1's at their District UIL contest on April 1st.
Congratulations go out to our Robotics Team coached by Linda Woessner who competed in the Worlds Robotics contest in Atlanta last week.
If you have not heard our Hockey Team won the Texas Cup Title and competed last week in the USA Hockey National Championship Tournament in Bensenville, Illinois.
Our Girls Soccer team and Coach Colvin went two rounds deep in the soccer playoffs before bowing out to McKinney Boyd.
Congratulations to Coach Oglesby and the Boys Soccer Team who advanced to the Regional Semifinals in Midland only to be defeated in a overtime thriller by El Paso Belaire 6-5.
Our Amazing Student Council, sponsored by Lora Beneditti were in charge of hosting the State Student Council Convention in Arlingtion which was attended by over 4,500 students. I was so proud of the job our students for wowing and presenting a first class experience for student councils from across our state.
Our Speech and Debaters competed this past weekend in NFL Debate and qualified 8 students to Nationals which will be held in St. Louis, Missouri in June. Congratulations to these students and Coach Forbes.
Our Community Problem Solving Team advanced to the State Bowl this past weekend for their community service project entitled "Be Me". Congratulations to our Teen Leadership, PALS and GT students who comprised this team. Great job Coach Gilley and Laura Wood-Smith.
Congratulations to Coach Holmes and our Boys Track Team that placed 2nd at the District track Meet. They will be advancing 11 athletes in 10 events to the Regional Meet in Lubbock on May 3-4.
Our Girls Track Team coached by Miranda Wilson finished in 3rd place at the District Track Meet last week at Coppell and were 3 points out of second. They qualified 10 girls to the Regional Track Meet in Lubbock.
Our UIL Academic Team will be leaving to compete at the Regional Academic Meet in Lubbock this weekend. We will get you details on their success. Our OAP performed The Elephant Man at the District OAP and were truly the best. Stacie and Roald Martinsen put together a awesome and impressive cast and crew. They have five advancing students who were selected to compete at this years UIL State Meet in Theatrical Design.
