Dragon Recognitions
- Debate team competes almost every weekend and these students consistently are finishing in the top five teams out of 100-150 teams they face as they compete across the state and country.
- Volleyball team is sporting a record of 32-5, a district record of 8-1 and are currently in 2nd place. They have a big match up versus district leading Keller Central at home this Friday, October 22nd.
- Football team is also is in 2nd place with a 5-2 record and 3-1 district record.
- Cross Country team has been lighting up the course with wins by the Girls at the McNeil Invitational, Nike South Meet in the Woodlands was won by our Boys and Girls. This past weekend the Boys came in 1st while the Girls finished 2nd at the Arkansas Chili Pepper Classic. Their district meet will be next week October 28th at 9:00 AM Grapevine at Meadowmere Park.
- Swimming team is off to its winning ways in the pool after the Boys and Girls won this past weekends Dragon Hunt Swim Meet. Swimmers were awarded rubber chickens rather than medals or ribbons.
- The Mighty Dragon Band competed this last weekend in Lewisville at the District Marching Contest and they will be advancing to the Area Contest this coming weekend at Standridge Stadium the time is TBA. It is projected that we will perform in the morning and the advancing bands will perform that evening.
Upcoming Events
Please remember that tomorrow night our district will be hosting a financial seminar on school funding with Keller ISD, Colleyville ISD entitled The Good, The Bad and The Ugly at 7:00 PM at CSHS Auditorium. We hope you all will plan to come out and be in attendance as we try to learn about how we can promote equitable funding for our students.
October 30th: 10:00 -12:00 Girls and Boys Basketball Kickoff at CSHS gymnasium followed by hamburgers.
November 11th: Veterans Day Assembly in the gym from 10:00-11:00. All veterans and community members are invited to be our guest for our program as we honor our veterans. There will be a luncheon sponsored by our STUCO for our veterans and families.
